In her recent efforts to become a more involved and effective first lady, Melania Trump reopened the White House to the general public this Tuesday for tours.
“I am excited to reopen the White House to the hundreds of thousands of visitors who come each year,” Melania said in a statement, “The White House is a remarkable and historic site and we are excited to share its beauty and history. I am committed to the restoration and preservation of our Nation’s most recognizable landmark.”
President Trump even made a surprise appearance during the first tour this morning, greeting students as they made their way through the White House and even hugging a young fan, as seen in the video below:
The fact that President Trump took time out of his day to greet these guests on their first tour is really respectable, in my opinion. Yes, he is still up to some of same old, that to be honest people are getting real sick of, like the Trump Twitter tyrant’s and his everyday attacks on “fake news,” but we have to appreciate that both Melania and Donald are making this historic period of their lives, and ours, accessible to the general public as well. If anything is for sure, that young boy will never forget the Tuesday he toured the White House and it’s because of a special appearance from Mr. President himself. He even had Hillary Clinton smiling on the wall behind him.
