President Trump made his first school visit in his presidency this Friday to St. Andrew Catholic School in Orlando, Florida. He was accompanied by Education Secretary DeVos, Senator Marco Rubio, his senior advisor Jared Kushner and his wife (also Trump’s daughter, of course) Ivanka.
Protestors, however, were quick to greet Trump and his team at the school while many wonder why his first visit wasn’t to a public school instead.
Regardless of the obvious tensions outside St. Andrew’s, Trump remained cheerful and positive towards the students, and truthfully that’s what it’s all about. An article from the Daily Mail reported that President Trump joked around with the children, even telling one girl in particular “not to go into politics.” Another boy was lucky enough to have his cast signed by Ivanka herself.
