While it was questionable whether or not Barron and Melania would move into the White House after President Trump’s election and especially after harsh online criticism’s toward 10-year-old Barron Trump, it looks like First Lady Melania is setting up staff for the big move from New York to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW.
According to a CNN report, Melania has just made her second official White House hire. Her first being Lindsay Reynolds who will assume position as East Wing chief of staff.
Melania’s second hire was Laotian-American interior designer Tham Kannalikham.
“Mrs. Trump is honored to serve this country and is taking the role and responsibilities of first lady very seriously. It has only been a short time since the inauguration and the first lady is going to go about her role in a pragmatic and thoughtful way that is unique and authentic to her,” Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, senior advisor to the first lady, told Women’s Wear Daily in an interview.
Kannalikham began her career at Ralph Lauren Home, so it’s no wonder the Jackie Kennedy to-be Melania chose her as her decorator.
